Advertising Delinquent Property
Mobile homes and real property, which are land and dwellings, with outstanding 2022 property taxes will be auctioned at the Delinquent Tax Sale on October 2, 2023. However, in the delinquency process, South Carolina State Law requires a few steps and notifications to occur before a property can be auctioned.
Over the past six months, multiple notifications have been sent via mail, including a delinquent certified notice and posting a physical sign on the property. If you still owe property taxes on a mobile home or real property, which are any land or dwellings, we are approaching the next step in the delinquency process.
The next step is the public advertising of delinquent property in the local newspaper and online. This will occur every Sunday for three consecutive weeks leading up to the Delinquent Tax Sale. Our delinquent property owners should be aware that the listing is submitted to the newspaper the week before publishing.

The property may be advertised in the newspaper and online each week leading up to the Delinquent Tax Sale.
The property is auctioned at the Delinquent Tax Sale on October 2, 2023.
Additional delinquency proceedings may be pursued.
