TREASURER RECEIVES LOCAL GOVERNMENT AWARD

On May 6, 2016, the South Carolina Republican Party awarded Maria Walls, CPA, Beaufort County Treasurer, the Local Government Official Award. This award is to honor a public official holding a local, partisan office, for outstanding service to their local community and positive representation of the Republican Party in local government. 

“It is an honor to represent the citizens of Beaufort County as a Republican. The conservative fiscal principles ingrained in the Treasurer’s Office have allowed us to increase and improve services while decreasing our budget, benefiting all of Beaufort County’s taxpayers,” said Treasurer Walls. “I appreciate the ongoing support of the South Carolina Republican Party as well as the Beaufort County Republican Party in our joint effort to make government work for the people.”
